Barbara Jean Satyshur

Barbara J. Satyshur, age 79, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, in Fort Myers, Florida.

Born on October 23, 1946, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Barb dedicated her life to the enrichment and education of others. She was a proud graduate of Mercyhurst College, where she earned her Master's Degree. She went on to work in the Millcreek Township School District for over 25 years, first in special education and later as an Instructional Support Advisor. Her deep passion for teaching, mentoring, and her students left a lasting mark on countless lives within the community.

Beyond her career, Barb was a woman of immense creativity. She was a very talented artist, had a sharp eye for interior design, and found great peace and joy as an avid gardener. She also thoroughly enjoyed watching both of her sons' athletic careers. Above all of her accomplishments, what she loved and adored most in this world was her family, especially her beautiful granddaughters and great-granddaughters.

Barb was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Phil Satyshur, and her parents, Jack and Dorothy Hull.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jason (fiancé Stephanie) and Aaron (wife Alecia); her sisters, Jackie Royer (husband Jimmy) and Beverly Robins; her cherished granddaughters, Baylee Sardini (husband Matt), Taylor Vicky (fiancé Zereck Causgrove), and Camryn Satyshur; and her precious great-granddaughters, Zaelie Causgrove and Mia Sardini. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date.
