Bertram 'Burt' James Robinson, 89, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1992, formerly of Marcy, NY, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born June 20, 1936 in Oneida, NY to George and Rachael Robinson, now deceased.

Burt was of the Methodist faith and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a man who never encountered a stranger and lived each day to the fullest, as if it were his last. He lived a life filled with purpose as there was never a day to waste. He was an avid boater, a passionate fisherman, a skilled woodworker, and a detailed handyman. He was creative, athletic, humble, loving and always had a special joke to tell. His happiest days were spent on his boats on the St. Lawrence River, among his family and friends. Anyone that knew Burt, knew that the party didn't start until he arrived! His practical jokes were expected, but were always a surprise and left everyone with lasting memories of his beautiful smile and blue eyes along with his innocent, kid-like demeanor. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Dewie, and a steadfast, proud father to his three daughters. His grandchildren were a delight and gave him great joy to see their successes, as they made him so proud. Burt will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dewie Robinson; children; Diane Betsinger (Douglas) of Port St. Lucie FL, Corri Van Slyke (Mark) of Cape Coral, FL, Kelly Macera (Stephen) of Estero, FL; grandchildren, Ryan Betsinger (Lauren), Siearra August (Ryan), Mark Van Slyke Jr., Nicholas Macera, Anthony Macera, and four great-grandchildren, Logan August, Gavin August, Parker August, and Whitney August.
