Brenda Joyce Hogan

Brenda Joyce Hogan of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away surrounded by family on July 23, 2026. She was born on May 21, 1948 in Baxter, Kentucky, to Elgin Reynolds Hofer and Audrey Joy (Collins) Hofer. 

She shared 39 wonderful years with her husband, Gerald Kominik, whom she married on September 21, 2002. Brenda was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed puzzles, bowling, bingo, board games, watching the Kansas City Chiefs (especially Patrick Mahomes) on Sunday afternoons, and celebrating all holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas with her loved ones. More than anything, Brenda treasured time spent with her family and found her greatest joy in making memories with those she loved. Brenda was known for her fun spirit, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Kominik; her three children, William (Kimberly) Hogan Jr., Madeline (Mike) Devlin, and David (Nikki Eubanks) Hogan; her nine grandchildren, Lyric Sheldon, Jordyn (Rick) De Leon, Kellen Hogan, James Munroe, Jordan (Rachel-Anne) Stewart, Nicholas Hogan, Stephen Fetner, Samantha Cagle, and Taylor Seraccini; two great-grandchildren, Georgia and Lawton Stewart; and her brother, UJ (Tony Duke) Hofer.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Hofer. Brenda will be deeply missed by all who came to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
