Brenda Lynn Paul

November 29, 1953 — April 10, 2026

Brenda Lynn Paul, 72, of Cape Coral, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026. She was born November 29, 1953, in Lancaster, Ohio.

Brenda was of the Jewish faith and lived a life full of courage, adventure, humor, and heart. At just 18 years old, she left home to join the circus, something she would later laugh about often, but which perfectly reflected her fearless spirit and the way she embraced life completely on her own terms.

She built a unique and meaningful career, first as an air traffic controller and later as a nurse, where her compassion, strength, and vibrant personality touched many lives.

Brenda shared a deep and unwavering love with her husband, Barry R. Paul, her true soulmate. In his final years, she cared for him with remarkable patience, devotion, and a wicked sense of humor that helped carry them both through even the hardest moments.

She was truly one of a kind. Brenda was known for her bold personality, quick wit, unforgettable stories, and her ability to make people laugh when they needed it most. She did not simply enter a room; she filled it with energy, warmth, and life.

Her love for animals, especially her beloved Shelties, was one of the purest reflections of her heart. She took immense pride in breeding and showing them, celebrating every ribbon and every accomplishment, but most of all, loving them as family. The dogs she raised and cared for brought her endless joy throughout her life.

Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit, laughter, stories, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barry R. Paul, and her parents, William and Elizabeth Risch.

She is survived by her loving family, including her stepchildren, eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
