Cecile (JC) Cote

Marie Jeanette Cecile Cote, JC to her friends, passed away at 93 on Tuesday morning December 16th, 2025 at her home in Cape Coral, Florida surrounded by family. She was born August 2nd 1932 in Providence, Rhode Island.

JC was of the Catholic faith and kept her religion close like a warm blanket around her. If you were to ask her what her greatest accomplishments were in life she would say her kids, biological, street kids and informally adopted kids. She was a mother, a grandmother a great grandmother and a great great grandmother as well as a friend in confidant to many. She was always a fan favorite with those big blue eyes and that amazing smile. She will be most remembered for her JC Bingo status at both Pondella and Midpoint bingos where she played twice a week until almost the end with her little red Walker decorated to whatever occasion was coming up next, and her walking 50 miles per hour.

She is survived by her three adult children Connie McKinnon husband Mark, Rick Cote wife Miriam, and Lorie Cote Emanuelson husband Richard; her grandchildren David Martinez wife Rosa, Lisa Valencia husband Ruben, Michael Martinez fiance Sheri Hashemi, Sherlyn Beatty, William Beatty and Anthony Emanuelson wife Demita; her great grandchildren David Martinez III, Alex Martinez wife Alyssa, Andres Javier AJ, Diego Valencia, Ruben Valencia II, Jaiden Beatty, Nikoll Emanuelson and Anastasia Emanuelson; and her great great grandchildren Olivia Grace and Mia Robin Martinez from various parts of California and Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 18, 2025 from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm at Pondella Bingo, 959 Pondella Rd., North Fort Myers, FL 33903.
