Deborah “Debby” Hansen, 55, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at her home in North Fort Myers. She was born on November 22, 1970, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Theodore S. Wypych and Joanne T. Olesiewicz.
Debby embraced life with joy and energy. She loved dancing, bingo, cooking, and, more recently, cruising. Debby also treasured her time as a member of the New Albany Elks Lodge and took great pride in participating in charitable activities such as Clothe-A-Child. Above all, she cherished her family and found her greatest happiness in being “Bachie” to her grandchildren. Debby had a gift for conversation and connection; she would stop whatever she was doing to talk, listen, and laugh with others and never met a stranger who didn’t quickly become a friend. She was a social butterfly, loved hosting gatherings, and was truly the life of every party.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Michael J. Hansen; her children, Alexandria “Ali” Walker (Nick) of Philadelphia, PA, Jonathan Hansen (Amy) of Nashville, TN, Mittchell Hansen (Josephine) of Nashville, TN, and Theodore “TJ” Hansen of North Fort Myers, FL; her sisters, Marie-Ellen Erb (Greg) of Georgia, Lisa Lineberger (Paul) of Maryland, Suzanne "Sue" Stout (Mike) of Pennsylvania, and Nancy McDowell (Rich) of New Jersey; and her cherished grandchildren Gavin, Rhett, Eloise, Emersyn "Emmy", and Ellis, as well as many nieces and extended family members who loved her dearly.
A private family service will be held in Florida.
Friends and family are invited to honor and celebrate the life of Debby on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
