Born on June 19, 1939, in the Bronx, New York, Eileen was the daughter of Mary Ellen (Lynch) Murphy and John Joseph Murphy. She was raised in a proud Irish American family and maintained a deep devotion to her faith, family, and Irish heritage throughout her life.
