Eleanor Margaret Wiskerchen

Eleanor (Ellie) Margaret Wiskerchen, 81, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Cape Coral. She was born April 12, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Ellie was of the Catholic faith and will be remembered for her warm heart, vibrant spirit, and deep love for family, friends, and animals. She lived a life filled with laughter, companionship, and simple pleasures that brought joy not only to herself but to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

An avid animal lover, Ellie had a special affection for pets and all creatures great and small. She enjoyed spending time on the water and loved going boating, where she found relaxation and happiness surrounded by nature. One of the greatest blessings in her life was the close-knit community of neighbors she considered extended family. Together, they shared countless memories playing cards and bingo, enjoying meals, swimming, and simply spending time in one another's company. These friendships brought her immense joy and remained an important part of her life.

Ellie also had a fun-loving side and was known for her enjoyment of scary movies. Whether gathering with friends for an evening of laughter or settling in to watch a suspenseful film, she appreciated the moments that brought excitement and connection to her days.

Above all, Ellie cherished her family and the relationships she built throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, her sense of humor, her love of companionship, and the joy she found in bringing people together.

She is survived by her son, Michael Wiskerchen (Rebecca); her twin sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Mitten; as well as two grandchildren, Nathan and Hannah.

Ellie was preceded in death by her husband Jeri Wiskerchen, parents Lester and Pauline Dresen and 2 sisters Mary Hansen and Madeleine Powell.
