George Albert Pierson Jr., 57, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, in Fort Myers. He was born on July 27, 1969, in Quincy, Massachusetts.

George was of the Catholic faith and will be remembered as a hardworking, caring, and dedicated man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it more than he did. His generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

A talented handyman and skilled craftsman, George took great pride in building homes and working with his hands. Whether he was helping a friend with a project, repairing something for a neighbor, or creating something from the ground up, he approached every task with dedication, patience, and skill. He believed that anything worth doing was worth doing right.

George had many passions throughout his life. He loved fishing and found peace in spending time outdoors. He was also an exceptional cook who rarely followed a recipe, instead relying on instinct and experience to create meals that brought family and friends together around the table. A true automobile enthusiast, George enjoyed talking about cars, admiring classic vehicles, and appreciating the craftsmanship behind a well-built engine.

His love extended beyond people to animals as well. George had a special place in his heart for his pets, and his family finds comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved dogs, Mister and Girl Dog, who brought him so much companionship and unconditional love.

When relaxing, George enjoyed watching movies, especially the Pirates of the Caribbean series. He appreciated its humor, adventure, and unforgettable characters, and he never grew tired of revisiting his favorite films.

Above all else, George's greatest pride and joy was his family. Becoming a grandfather was one of the greatest blessings of his life. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, celebrating their milestones, making memories, and simply enjoying their company. His love for his family was unwavering, and the memories they shared together will forever be held close in their hearts.

George's legacy is one of generosity, hard work, compassion, and unconditional love. George is survived by his loving mother, Marion Shelton; his sister, Marion Brusseau; his brother, Daniel Pierson; his three daughters, Sara Mueller, Melinda Pierson, and Brooke Pierson; his two grandsons, Casen and Maverick; his granddaughter, Zoey; his nephew, Daniel Pierson Jr.; and his two nieces, Morgan Canterbury and Amanda Pierson.

He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and who will forever cherish the time they were blessed to spend with him. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing his love, generosity, and the memories he created will live on in each of us. May he rest in eternal peace.
