Isaak Stephen Reusch

Isaak Stephen Reusch, 11, of Fort Myers, Florida, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, after an incredibly courageous two-year battle with brain cancer. He was born on October 17, 2014, in Fort Myers, Florida, to Erik and Megan Reusch.

He had the sweetest heart, the gentlest soul, and a smile that could light up any room. He was thoughtful beyond his years, endlessly compassionate, and always quick to put others before himself. He loved Jesus with his whole heart, and his unwavering faith was evident in the way he lived every single day.

Isaak found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and loved baseball, Disney, Marvel, music, and trying great food. Guardians of the Galaxy was his favorite movie, and its soundtrack became the soundtrack to so many special memories. He loved family vacations, especially trips to the Bahamas, spending time at the beach, and finding his next favorite restaurant or snack. Some of his happiest memories were made on special adventures with his beloved godmother, Krystal, and his cousins, Hayden and Leland, whom he loved dearly. His friends meant so much to him, and he had the very best ones. He was equally loved by his teachers, coaches, teammates, and so many others throughout the community whose lives he touched with his kindness. He had an adventurous spirit, an infectious laugh, and a way of making everyone around him feel loved.

One of Isaak’s greatest joys was being Drake’s little brother. Their bond was filled with laughter, love, and countless memories that will forever be treasured. Family meant everything to Isaak, and there was nowhere he would rather be than surrounded by the people he loved.

In July 2024, at just nine years old, Isaak was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer. Over the next two years, he endured surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, clinical trials, countless hospital stays, and more challenges than most people face in a lifetime. Through it all, he fought with extraordinary courage, strength, and grace. He never stopped believing, never stopped smiling when he could, and he never let cancer define who he was.

While cancer took his earthly body, it did not win.

Isaak is now completely healed, whole, and free in the presence of Jesus Christ. There is no more pain, no more suffering, no more hospitals, and no more cancer. The cancer has died, but Isaak lives forever.

Although his life was only eleven years long, his impact was immeasurable. His courage inspired thousands. His faith strengthened countless lives. His kindness, joy, and unwavering spirit left an imprint that will never fade. He showed the world what it looks like to love deeply, trust God through unimaginable hardship, and live each day with incredible courage.

Isaak is survived by his loving parents, Erik and Megan Reusch, and his devoted big brother, Drake.
