Jabarr Desmond Reames

Jabarr Reames was born on April 10, 1972, in Paterson, New Jersey, to Kathy Duren and Henry Reames. He was also blessed with a special father, James Fouskey, whom he loved dearly. Although his grandmother began taking him to service at the age of three, it was James Fouskey who helped him develop a close relationship with Jehovah. This eventually led to his baptism and a life of faithful service. Jabarr served as a pioneer for seven years and attended Pioneer Service School twice. He also had the privilege of serving as a Ministerial Servant.

Jabarr attended school in Clifton, New Jersey, where he was a member of the Honor Society. He also played the saxophone, and his music teacher taught him how to play Kingdom songs, something he greatly enjoyed.

Jabarr was a hardworking man who spent many years as a manager with Firestone before becoming disabled. He was raised in a loving blended family and shared a close bond with his six siblings.

Jabarr dearly loved his spiritual brothers and sisters. Despite facing physical challenges, he remained encouraging and supportive of others. One brother fondly remembered how Jabarr helped him prepare his very first talk. Jabarr was known for being quiet, humble, and caring, always reaching out to others and staying connected with family members.

An avid sports fan, Jabarr enjoyed baseball, basketball, and football. The New York Giants were his favorite team. He especially enjoyed attending baseball games with his beloved cousin, Thomas Mickens.

Above all, Jabarr loved his children: Jayla Reames, Melanie Cherry, Mila Cherry, and Matthew Marshall.

He leaves behind his siblings: Cami Brown (Greg), Pam Salandy, Robin Canada (Michael), Karen Bennett (Ron), Kevin Fouskey, and Micah Fouskey; his mother, Kathy Fouskey; his first wife, Colita Marshall; and his special cousin, Thomas Mickens.

He is also survived by his aunts, Robin Smith (Wendell), Kathleen Collins (George), and Hazel Wright (Donald); and his uncles, John Duren and George Collins.

Jabarr will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, whom he faithfully called and checked on regularly, including Jazmin Brown, Joseph Brown, and Jabarria Brown, as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Jabarr's life was marked by faith, humility, kindness, and love for his family and friends. His memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
