James Lamar Rosen

James “Lamar” Rosen, 54, a resident of Lehigh Acres, Fl, passed away Saturday August 22, 2026, in Lehigh Acres, FL. He was born on January 10, 1972, in Clewiston, FL, to his mother Diana Doby.

Lamar was of the Baptist faith. He proudly dedicated 32 years to his career as an Electrical Controls Engineer for U.S. Sugar, where his expertise, incredible work ethic, and willingness to help others earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He took exceptional pride in his work and often said, “The one thing no one could take from you is your integrity,” a belief he carried throughout his life and demonstrated in the way he worked, loved, and treated others.

To know Lamar was to know someone larger than life. He was loud, funny, hardworking, selfless, and often the life of the party. He had a natural desire to learn and an even greater desire to share what he knew with others. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything and the person family and friends knew they could call at any hour for advice, encouragement, a helping hand, or simply reassurance that everything was going to be okay.

Originally from Clewiston, Lamar made Lehigh Acres his home 25 years ago, building a life rooted in hard work, family, and community. He loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with the people he loved. He often found more joy in preparing a meal for everyone else than in sitting down to eat it himself. One of his greatest joys was sharing his love of cooking with his stepson, Blake, passing along not only recipes, but also the time, patience, and memories that came with them. He and his wife, Alison, also enjoyed taking long hikes together, wandering down trails and simply enjoying each other’s company. Lamar shared a special and deeply bonded relationship with his daughter, Tiffany, and his son-in-law, Peter, built on love, trust, laughter, and countless moments together. Affectionately known as “Big Daddy,” he especially treasured time with his grandchildren, Gerry and Stella. Whether they were swimming in the pool, fishing the canals, or simply spending time together, he created memories they will carry with them for years to come. Lamar also loved offshore fishing with family and friends and watching sports with his brother Jerry, often sharing their familiar, “It’s all about the U, baby!”

Above all, Lamar cherished his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alison Kuski; his daughter, Tiffany Andros (Peter); his stepson, Blake Rehak-Cook; and his two beloved grandchildren, Gerry Andros and Stella Andros. He is survived by his mother, Diana Bell; and his siblings, Tuesday Tritt (Ron), Janice Harbin (Jeffrey), Jerry Rosen, and Melvin Rosen.

Lamar leaves behind a presence that can never truly be replaced and a lifetime of stories, lessons, laughter, and love. He will be remembered for his integrity, generous heart, wisdom, strength, larger-than-life personality, his ability to somehow make things right, and the genuine impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
