Janice Marie Tribble

Janice Marie Tribble, 77, a resident of Cape Coral, FL passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Fort Myers, FL. She was born January 5, 1948, in Dearborn, MI, to George and Lallie Tribble, now deceased.

Janice was of the Protestant faith. She was a graduate of the School of Social Work at Michigan State University. This led her into her desired job and lifetime passion of helping and protecting children. She began work as a social worker for the State of Michigan. She was a child abuse investigator, checking on reports of neglected or abused children. She did this for a number of years, while also completing studies resulting in a MSW from Wayne State University in Detroit. Janice went on to become an instructor traveling the state teaching other state employees the rules of social work. She also held a part time position as a teacher in the Wayne State University School of Social Work. Janice worked her way up and eventually became the Director of Licensing for the State governing all camps, foster care, daycare, and other child related venues outside the public schools. Her greatest passion when working in her career was the protection and defense of children. When retired, after some 45 years or so of service to the children of the State of Michigan, she continued to volunteer, donate and work for many child and animal charities and organizations. Janice was loved by many people due to the kindness and generosity she displayed throughout her life. She loved people, and they felt it and loved her back.

She is survived by her brothers, Stephen Tribble (Diane) and Larry Tribble (Nancy); and sisters, Carolyn Bertrand (Lane) and Barbara Trumbo (Jim).
