Jeffrey "Jeff" Allan Armstrong, 69, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Port Charlotte. He was born on July 20, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York.
Jeffrey was a man of the Baptist faith whose life was defined by service, dedication, and deep love for the people and passions that shaped his world. He proudly served as a captain with NYC EMS, responding with courage and commitment during the events of 9/11-an experience that marked him and those who served alongside him.
A resident of Cape Coral for the past 20 years after relocating from New York, Jeff embraced the Florida lifestyle while keeping his New York roots close to heart. He loved good food, cooking for those he cared about, getting lost in a good book, listening to jazz, and spending time with the dogs he adored. He was also a devoted Star Trek fan, finding joy in its stories of exploration and hope, and he had a deep appreciation for history, always eager to learn, reflect, and share what he discovered.
On October 19, 1996, Jeff married the love of his life, Doris. Together they built a family grounded in love, humor, and unwavering support. He is survived by his devoted wife, Doris Armstrong; his daughters, Briana Armstrong and Alisia Armstrong (Louis Rodriguez); his son, Thomas Armstrong; his brother, Claude Armstrong (Laura); and his many cherished fur babies, who brought him endless joy.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Marjorie Armstrong.
A memorial service will be held in Long Island, New York in early April, allowing family and friends to gather and honor Jeff's life where his journey began.
