Julie Ann Simons

Julie Ann Simons, 68, a resident of Fort Myers, FL, for more than 45 years, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Lehigh Acres, Fl. She was born on June 28, 1957, in Grand Rapids MI to parents Andy Sellers and Shirley Sellers, now deceased.

Julie was of the Catholic faith, having attended services at St Rafael Catholic Church of Lehigh Acres, FL. She loved her family more than anything else, and even considered all the children in the neighborhood as her own. She loved having large gatherings and cooking for everyone, and would rarely let you bring a covered dish. She always had a house full no matter the time or day, but Saturdays for sure when she would cook her famous Biscuits and Gravy. She loved to read books. If her eyes were open she had a book in her hand, her favorite author being Steven King. In her spare time she enjoyed everything about the outdoors from her horses, to her dogs, and cats. She just loved the sheer beauty of being outside. She would wear out two lawn mowers a year keeping up with her land. She had a successful career owning her own cleaning company for 30 plus years along with becoming a Elderly Caregiver forming life long bonds with her customers, Julie truly never knew a stranger.

Julie was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Carey.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Allen Simons Sr.; Her son Allen Simons Jr. (Ashley) of Labelle, FL; Her son In Law Scott Carey of Cape Coral Fl; Her three siblings, Linda Clouse of NC, Eric Sellers (Carol) of Satsuma, FL, Gary Sellers of Lake Placid, FL; Brother In Law Ralph Simons (Cindy) of Clearmont FL; Her Sister In law Laura Wheeler of Lehigh Acres FL; Her six grandchildren, Austin Carey, Julia Carey, Caitlyn Carey, Zac Carey, Peyton Simons, Kylee Simons; Her great-grandchild, Sailor Simons; As well as a large and loving extended family.

A private family viewing will be held at Mullins & Curtis Affordable Funerals and Cremations.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life in her honor, to be held at a later date.
