Kathleen Mary Harmon

May 15, 1959 — February 20, 2026

Kathleen "Kathy" Mary Harmon, 66, a North Fort Myers, Florida resident for 40 years, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, in North Fort Myers. She was born May 15, 1959, in Levitown, NY.

Kathy shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Chuck. Their love story began with a blind date-one she nearly dismissed at first. Kathy, a shy and sweet young woman with a quiet, gentle nature, was the complete opposite of Chuck's outgoing and carefree personality. But love has a way of surprising us. Kathy soon fell head over heels, and in a testament to her courage and heart, she proposed to Chuck herself. They married shortly after when she was just 19 years old, beginning a lifelong partnership built on deep love and mutual devotion.

Together, they built a life centered around family. Kathy became a mother at 21, and her only child was the center of her world. That love only grew when she became a grandmother to Madison, her cherished granddaughter. Kathy was present in the delivery room, even cutting the cord-a moment that reflected just how deeply she was involved in every milestone of her family's life. Kathy and Chuck adored their granddaughter beyond measure, retiring early so they could help raise her and be part of her everyday life. Madison even had her own room in their home, a place filled with warmth, comfort, and endless affection. Kathy's love for her family knew no bounds-she would drop everything to be there for them.

Kathy was a woman of incredible generosity and compassion. She was always willing to help others, even if it meant giving her very last dollar to someone in need. She never complained, even in the face of her own struggles, and carried herself with quiet strength and grace.

For over 30 years, Kathy and Chuck owned and operated their own cleaning business. Her work ethic was unmatched-she never missed a day of work. Even with a broken foot, she would continue cleaning, scooting across the floor to get the job done. If she was sick, she showed up anyway. Through her actions, she taught those around her the true meaning of dedication, perseverance, and pride in one's work.

Kathy also instilled in her family the importance of kindness, humility, and respect for others. She believed deeply in treating everyone with compassion, regardless of their circumstances, and in never looking down on those less fortunate.

She had a special love for animals, especially cats, often taking in strays and caring for them as her own. Her nurturing spirit extended to all living things.

Kathy found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She loved snorkeling in the clear waters of Key West, exploring the vibrant reefs during family trips that became cherished traditions. She also found peace and happiness in the mountains of Colorado. In quieter moments, she expressed herself through writing, a talent she carried with grace and depth.

Above all, Kathy will be remembered as the most caring, selfless, and loving woman-a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose presence was a gift to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Charles; daughter, Nicole Mundy (Nicholas) of Cape Coral, FL; granddaughter, Madison Mundy; as well as her sister, Carol Jensen of Cape Coral, FL.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bernise Rossiter; one sister, Susan Hughes; as well as one brother, Paul Rossiter.
