Abuela, como muchos la conocían, será recordada por su cálido espíritu y su corazón amoroso. Ella se enorgullecía de cuidar su propio hogar, creando un lugar lleno de comodidad y acogida para toda su familia. Abuela encontraba alegría en los placeres sencillos: cantar sus canciones favoritas, bailar con felicidad y preparar comidas que reunían a su familia. Por encima de todo, amaba profundamente a sus nietos, y su amor por ellos se reflejaba en cada sonrisa, abrazo y momento compartido. Deja un legado de amor, fe y hermosos recuerdos que serán atesorados para siempre... Uno de los mayores logros de Lidia fue la valentía y determinación con la que salió de Cuba para comenzar una nueva vida en los Estados Unidos. Con esfuerzo, sacrificio y amor incondicional por su familia, logró construir un hogar lleno de unión, valores y recuerdos inolvidables para sus cinco hijos, nietos y bisnietos. Su legado vive en cada generación que ayudó a formar y en el amor que sembró a lo largo de su vida.

Será recordada en cada flor que veamos florecer, en cada una de sus canciones favoritas que escuchemos y en cada comida preparada con el mismo amor que ella compartía con su familia. Vivirá para siempre en nuestros corazones y en los pequeños momentos de la vida cotidiana que nos harán pensar en ella. Su memoria, su ejemplo y su amor nos acompañarán por el resto de nuestras vidas.

Le sobreviven sus cinco hijos, Ramon Tamayo Moncada, Mario Tamayo Moncada, Maury Tamayo Moncada, Juan Carlos Tamayo Moncada, Roberto Tamayo Moncada; Sus cuatro hermanos, Alcide Moncada, Raciel Moncada, Migdalia Moncada, Marisol Moncada; Sus trece (13) nietos, y también sus diez bisnietos.

Lidia Rosa Moncada Gonzalez, 84, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Cape Coral, FL. She was born on November 13, 1941, in Holguín, Cuba, to her parents, Ramón Moncada and Mariana González, now deceased.

Abuela, as many knew her, will be remembered for her warm spirit and loving heart. She took pride in caring for her own home, creating a place full of comfort and welcome for all her family. Abuela found joy in life’s simple pleasures: singing her favorite songs, dancing with happiness, and preparing meals that brought her family together. Above all, she deeply loved her grandchildren, and her love for them was reflected in every smile, hug, and shared moment. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and beautiful memories that will be treasured forever… One of Lidia’s greatest accomplishments was the courage and determination with which she left Cuba to begin a new life in the United States. With hard work, sacrifice, and unconditional love for her family, she succeeded in building a home filled with unity, values, and unforgettable memories for her five children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in every generation she helped shape and in the love she spread throughout her life.

She will be remembered in every flower we see bloom, in each of her favorite songs we hear, and in every meal prepared with the same love she shared with her family. She will live forever in our hearts and in the small moments of everyday life that will remind us of her. Her memory, her example, and her love will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

She is survived by her five sons, Ramon Tamayo Moncada, Mario Tamayo Moncada, Maury Tamayo Moncada, Juan Carlos Tamayo Moncada, and Roberto Tamayo Moncada; her four siblings, Alcide Moncada, Raciel Moncada, Migdalia Moncada, and Marisol Moncada; her thirteen grandchildren; and her ten great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Mullins & Curtis Affordable Funerals and Cremations, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916. A burial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Myers City Cemetery, 3200 Michigan Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
