Mary Irene Gaydos

Mary Irene Gaydos, 92, a resident of Cape Coral for more than 5 years, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, in Cape Coral, FL. She was born August 3, 1933, in Detroit, MI to parents Arnold Nysen and Martha Viaene, now deceased.

Mary was of the Christian faith. Formerly of Fairhope, AL, Mary set roots in Cape Coral, FL in 2020. Mary loved to be around family and brought much joy to the family. She was a hard worker and was very proud of her Belgium heritage and loved to sing all her favorite Belgium songs. Her sense of humor and quick wit kept everyone smiling.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, John Gaydos in 2013; Her son Robert Hamly; As well as her grandson, Keith Gaydos.

She is survived by her children, Chaunette Carraway (Steve) Armanda, MI, Deborah Manning (Danny) Orange Beach, AL, Linda Silorey (Mark) Cape Coral, Fl, Chris Gaydos (Suzanne) Daphne, AL; Her 12 grandchildren; As well as her 15 great-grandchildren.
