Mary Jane Jones

October 5, 1943 — February 9, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Jones, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on February 9, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on October 5, 1943, in the Bronx, NY, Mary Jane lived a life rich in love, service, and joy.

Mary Jane was the cherished wife of Richard Jones, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage for over 62 years, having tied the knot on May 18, 1963. Together, they built a loving home not only for themselves but also for their two children, Lisa Zeiset of KernersvilleNC, and Richard Alan Jones and his wife, Candice, of Tallahassee, FL. Mary Jane found immense joy in her role as a mother and later as a grandmother to three grandchildren-Ashlee, Morgan, and Jordan-and five great-grandchildren: Charlie, Henry, Jackson, Bayleigh, and Braydyn, with whom she created cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

Mary Jane was known for her unwavering faith and dedication to her community. She volunteered extensively at her local church, embodying the compassion and kindness inherent in her Catholic faith. A devoted traveler, she embraced the beauty of the world around her, forging lasting connections and meaningful adventures along the way.

She is predeceased by her parents, Martin and Ernestine Kocse, who instilled in her the values of love and hard work; as well as her sister, Theresa Bornstein. Mary Jane will be deeply missed by her siblings: her sister Susan Edward of Cape Coral, FL, and her brothers Martin Kocse, Dennis Kocse, and Randy Kocse. As well as an extended family of nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Mary Jane Jones will be announced in the coming days. We invite family and friends to join together in honoring a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

Mary Jane's memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and served. May she rest in peace, enveloped in the love of family and faith that defined her life.
