Philip John Satyshur

Phillip J. Satyshur, 80, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026.

He was born on August 3, 1946, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Virginia and John Satyshur. Phil proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to working as a claims examiner for Erie Insurance.

An enthusiast of life, Phil was an avid golfer who always looked forward to plenty of sunny tee times. He also enjoyed target shooting, followed many sports closely, and was a passionate Cleveland Browns fan. His greatest joy, however, was his family; he spent years both coaching and attending every single sports event for his sons.

Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Barbara; his sons, Jason Satyshur and his fiancé Stephanie, and Aaron Satyshur and his wife Alecia; his cherished granddaughters, Baylee Sardini and her husband Matt, Taylor Vickey and her fiancé Zareck Causgrove, and Camryn Satyshur; and his adored great-granddaughter, Zaelie Causgrove.

He also leaves behind his brothers, Dennis (Connie), John (Sharon), Jeff (Marilyn), Gary, and his sisters, Janet (Joyce Steinkamp) and Elaine. Many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

A private memorial service will be held by the family. He is deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
