Richard Raymond Carmel

Richard “Rick” Raymond Carmel of North Fort Myers, FL passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Cape Coral. He was born March 18, 1958, in West Newton, MA.

Rick was of the Catholic faith; he enjoyed fishing and hockey.

He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Carmel of Fort Myers, FL; one sister, Sharon & Kenneth Durand of Cape Coral, FL; two brothers, Dean & Mary Carmel of Fort Myers, FL and Darren Carmel of Fort Myers, FL; two nieces, Ashley Carmel and Christina Carmel; as well as one nephew, Christopher & Alisha Durand.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Carmel.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 20th, 2026 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Dr, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
