Richard Walter Robinson, affectionately known as "Dick", passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2025, at his home in St James City, Florida, at the age of 90.

Born on August 1, 1935, in New Haven, NY, the son of Lewis and Ethel Robinson. He graduated from Syracuse University and had very successful careers in upstate NY throughout his life. Dick was very innovative and could do or fix anything.
Dick proudly served his country with honor as a member of the U.S. Army's 188th Infantry. His military service was a great source of pride to him throughout his life.

Dick shared 37 devoted years of a very special love, friendship & respect with his beloved wife, Linda W. Robinson. Together they built a life filled with pride and love of family. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.

He was a proud father to five children; Erick Samson of Katy, Texas, Teresa Cady of Fulton, New York, Richard W. Robinson II (Wendy) of Canastota, New York, Lesa L. Robinson of Walterboro, SC; and deceased, Terry L. Robinson. His legacy continues through his grandchildren; Brent Cady (Jill), Blake Cady, Brock Cady, Rochelle Salce (Evan), Amanda Pidkaminy and Kristy Pikaminy. His cherished great grandchildren; Cole Pidkaminy, Gabriel Pidkaminy and Carter Salce.

Dick was a wonderful stepfather to Linda's children; Lori Nicolosi (Peter) of Albany, NY, Michele Daly (A.J.) of Clinton, NY, Christina Whitney (Dominic) of Bokeelia, FL and the late Douglas J. Whitney. Beloved grandchildren, Megan Daly (Dave), Reed Nicolosi, Liam Dickinson, Mia Dickinson, Keri Daly, Aidan Daly and Adlyn Nicolosi; great grandchildren, Benajmin, Jackson and Charlie.
Dick is also survived by his brother Everett Robinson (Linda) and many extended family, in-laws and friends who loved him dearly.

Throughout his life, Dick found joy in the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He hunted throughout the US and Canada and had many stories to tell at the hunting camp. He and Linda also had a love for curling; a sport that brought them many friendships and significant competition over 25 wonderful years at the Utica Curling Club.

Dick will be remembered by those who knew him for his enduring spirit, wonderful sense of humor, his stories and deep connection to family, friends and tradition.

A Celebration of Life with military honors will be at the American Legion on Stringfellow Rd in St James City, FL on February 1, 2026 at 1 PM. Accompanied by the Patriot Guard Riders, the Honor Guard burial will be on February 2, 2026 at 11 AM at the National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
