Robert David Gerrero Sr

Robert David Gerrero Sr, 88, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in Fort Myers. He was born September 18, 1937, in Steubenville, Ohio.

Robert was of Christian faith and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who lived a life marked by hard work, service, and dedication to his family. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with honor, traveling throughout Europe performing with the 7th Army Symphony. He carried that sense of duty and discipline throughout his life.

In 1960, Robert (affectionately known as Bob) married the love of his life, Elaine, beginning a marriage that spanned more than six decades and was built on unwavering love, commitment, and devotion. In his early career, Bob pursued his passion for music and business serving as the owner and operator of Gerrero Music in Steubenville, Ohio. There, he shared this love of music with countless customers and members of the community. Bob's Entrepreneurial spirit, interest in real estate and a truck load of courage lead to the transition into his next adventure.

In 1990, Bob and Elaine relocated from Steubenville, Ohio, to Cape Coral, Florida, where Bob had a successful career as a real estate broker and owner of Realty World Florida. He and Elaine built a wonderful life together and created many cherished memories with family and friends. Bob will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his amazingly kind, gentle nature, his quick wit and sense of humor, and, above all, his deep love for his family. His warm personality, entrepreneurial spirit, and genuine interest in people made lasting impressions on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife Elaine; three sons, Robert David Gerrero Jr, Henry Gerrero (Sharon), and Jeffrey Gerrero (Ranea), all of Cape Coral; one daughter, Annmarie Campbell (Kevin) of Whittier, NC; one brother, Richard Gerrero of San Rafael, CA; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Anna Marie Gerrero.

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Mullins & Curtis Affordable Funerals and Cremations, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Refreshments will follow.

Military honors will be conducted at the time of the service in recognition of Robert's faithful service to his country.
