Robert Jackson

Robert Henry Jackson Jr, 82, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Fort Myers. He was born April 23, 1944, to Robert and Beatrice Jackson in Putnam, Connecticut.

Robert resided in Killingly, Connecticut before relocating to Florida in 2011 where he and his wife Linda enjoyed retirement. They enjoyed fishing and camping together and used to play in a billiard league in Connecticut. Linda predeceased Robert on March 7, 2020, and Robert missed her greatly. He kept every little thing that reminded him of her and looked forward to them someday being reunited.

Robert was a Native American and proud member of the Nipmuc Tribe. He retired from IBM after a lifelong career as a computer technician. He later worked for Foxwoods Casino for several years.

He is survived by three sisters, Deborah Mounds of Hartford, CT, Kay Foster of Southborough, MA, Cheryl Jackson-Morris of Windsor, CT; one brother, Francis Jackson of Putnam, CT; as well as a large and loving extended family.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jackson in 2020; parents, Robert & Beatrice Jackson; as well as, one sister, Anna Jackson.

He also leaves his sister-in-law Sandy and niece Missy who would spend every March visiting him after Linda passed; and his friends and neighbors Cheyney and Danielle who looked in on him and made sure he had someone there for him whenever needed. We are grateful for their kindness.
