Ronald Eugene Blank

Ronald Eugene "Ron" Blank, 71, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday evening, September 20, 2026, in Fort Myers, surrounded by family. Our hearts are broken, but we rejoice in his return home. 

Ron was born March 1, 1955, in Marion, Ohio, to James A "Jim" and Joann (Baldaut) Blank. He graduated from Pleasant High School with the Class of 1974. 

A true craftsman, Ron had a remarkable talent for woodworking and an eye for detail that few could match. He took great pride in his work, believing that anything worth doing was worth doing well. A hard worker all his life, Ron found peace in time spent with his family and grandkids, fishing, working in the garage, and he never missed a chance to watch his favorite shows, especially The Twilight Zone, Star Trek, and Svengoolie. So many things about Ron made him unforgettable and precious to those who loved him. His hands may no longer hold a hammer, but the things he built, and the lives he touched, will stand for generations. 

Ron is survived by his loving partner, Lorraine Cuomo; his beloved daughter, Rosemary "Rosey" Blank; his stepchildren, Dayna Cuomo and John Cuomo; his grandchildren Dallas, George Jr., Gianna, Myla, Leah, and Noah; his mother, Joann Blank; his siblings, Roger (Sharon) Blank, Brenda Dawson, Linda (Mie) Kulkofsky, Brother-in-Law Jim Imbody and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James A. "Jim" Blank; his sisters, Peggy Imbody and Tami Jo Blank; his brother-in-law, Clyde Dawson; and his niece, Sarah Kulkofsky. 

A memorial service celebrating Ron's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Mullins & Curtis Funeral Home, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33916
