It is with great sadness to share that Ronald Dewey Trotter, Sr passed away Monday morning in Cape Coral, Florida on March 16th, 2026 surrounded by all of his loved ones. Ronald was born in Flint, Michigan in 1946 to George W. Trotter, Jr. & Betty Jane Trotter. He is survived by his children Jennifer & Jon Brief (Trotter), Ronald Trotter Jr., Jennifer Ranger, and his brother George Trotter,III. He will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren Taylor Trotter & Jacob Robertson, Trinity Trotter, and Ronald Dewey Trotter, III. He was preceded in death by his sisters Sandy Robinson (Trotter) & Delinda Swartwood (Trotter). He will be remembered by his beautiful spirit and warm-hearted humor that was adored by those around him for the past 79 years.

Ronald was a bricklayer for Buick & worked for the General Motors company for over 30 years. Ronald had a profound effect on many young men’s lives through his time coaching the G&A Construction youth baseball team, and serving as the President of the Mean Machine Wrestling organization before moving to Florida.

After retiring, Ronald moved to Florida with his wife Karyn Kaye Trotter to help raise their grandchildren, Taylor Trotter & Trinity Trotter. Ronald thoroughly enjoyed going to parks to walk with friends, spend time around the pool, and visiting the local farmers markets & flea markets with his family. In 2024, Ronald lost his wife Karyn Kaye Trotter and spent the rest of his life closely with his family.
