Sharon Ann Berger, 73, of North Fort Myers, Florida Monday, January 26, 2026, in North Fort Myers. She was born February 3, 1952, in Buffalo, NY.
Sharon was of the Christian faith. She grew up in Lansing, MI with her parents and her 5 sisters. Sharon worked for the State of Michigan from her teen years up until her late 40s, working her way up through the ranks, doing high level clerical and administrative work. She met her husband (Barry) around 1989 and they were married in June of 1994. They welcomed their only daughter (Savannah) into the world later that same year. In 2003, she and her family moved from Michigan to Florida where she spent the rest of her life.
You could always find Sharon putsy-ing around her house making it tidy and welcoming, in the kitchen cooking up snacks or cleaning, or out by the water feeding the turtles, birds, "Florida chickens", and other critters that would flock to the dock when they would see her coming.
Anyone who met Sharon knew what a light she was. She was always so happy, so vibrant and full of life and her energy and positivity couldn't help but to be infectious. She loved music (especially live music when her husband was in a band), loved dancing, and going out to eat. She loved her family fiercely and touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband Barry Berger; one daughter, Savannah Eugenio (Anthony) of North Fort Myers, FL; one fur baby, Susie; three sisters, Joanne Anderson (William) of Chicago, IL, Barbara Flaugher (Mark) of Grand Ledge, MI, and Virginia Peabody (Ulysses) of Statesville, NY; as well as one grandbaby on the way.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, David & Kathryn English. And two sisters, Kathy Delaney and Marion English.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from approximately 2pm-4pm at the Mullins and Curtis Funeral Home located at 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family via personal check to Barry Berger or electronically via PayPal (@savannahberger).
