Sue Brooke Zeegers

Sue Brooke Zeegers, 52, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Cape Coral. She was born June 1, 1973, in Miami, Florida.

Brooke was of the Christian faith and lived her life with a heart for service. A proud Hurricane, she attended the University of Miami for two years, graduating in 1992. Her professional career was marked by her long-standing dedication to the John Abell Corporation, where she served as the Accounts Receivable Credit Manager from March 2009 until February 2016.

Beyond her professional achievements, Brooke’s life was defined by her vibrant passions and her love for adventure. She was an avid traveler and found great peace and excitement beneath the waves as a skilled scuba diver. She had a keen eye for shopping and a creative soul; she was especially known for her love of making beautiful gift baskets, a passion she used to brighten the lives of others. Above all, Brooke was a helper. Whether through her thoughtful gifts or her time, she was always looking for ways to support those in need. Her greatest joy, however, remained the time she spent surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her fiancé Steven Hampton; one daughter, Ashley Green; one granddaughter, Ashley Mae; as well as her mother, Carol Sue Abell. Brooke was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Zeegers.
