Susan Patricia Fegan

Susan Patricia Fegan (née Roper), 72, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Meyersville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, surrounded by love and family. Born on January 25, 1954, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Susan was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Susan shared 48 devoted years of marriage with her husband, Kevin, building a life rooted in partnership, resilience, and commitment. Together they created a home filled with laughter, strength, and love.

She was a proud and loving mother to her daughter, Amy, and her son, Brian. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent together.

Her professional life was marked by compassion and dedication as a Registered Nurse in the intensive care unit. She later brought that same dedication to her role as Head Nurse for Linden School District. There she cared for countless students and staff and made lifelong friendships.

Beyond her career, she lived life with energy and enthusiasm. Susan was the heart of the family- strong , radiant, and full of love. She loved sports and had a fierce competitive spirit. She also found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially while camping and boating, where she created lasting memories with her family. She had a gift for laughter, bringing lightness and joy wherever she went.

Susan will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, her laughter, and the love she shared so generously.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Susan is survived by her husband, Kevin Fegan; son, Brian Fegan; daughter, Amy Fegan; sister, Kathy Capodici (John) and her brother, Tim Roper (Eileen) along with her nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Roper.

A memorial service will be held in New Jersey, date to be determined. Memorial donations in memory of Susan are suggested to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research
