Sylvia Darlene Presley-Thomas, 55, a lifelong resident of Ft. Myers was called home Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Ft. Myers. She was born December 27, 1964 in Slocomb, AL.
Sylvia was a member of the New Life Christian Center in Ft. Myers. Sylvia was a well-educated and loving young lady. She spent multiple years working as a manager in the tax industry, and she held degrees in multiple areas. She enjoyed being around others and would welcome any and everyone with welcoming arms, and her smile was a bright as a light. Sylvia had a calling to pray for and encourage others, Love and live right by GOD.
She is survived by her father, James Pouncey of Bradenton, FL; ex-husband, Anthony Presley; four loving children, Shanika (Willie) Bland, Ricky Rice, Marquita Haywood and Queen’Shonda Presley (Kenneth Jr.) Lynch; step children, Anthony, Tiffany and Tawaski; siblings, James Pouncey, Myra Ward, Michelle, Kristina, Jarrod, Jeremy and Yolanda (Demarcus) Eldridge; sixteen grandchildren, Derick Jr., Eric, Shan’Dericka, Rickeria, Aysha, Ricky Jr., Rick’Myah, John’Nasia, Ja’Niyah, Der’Reonia, Q’Andre, A’landre, Ern’Neviyonnah, Kenneri’Yae, Ken’Yalah, and Ken’Zaevia; five great grandchildren, Da’Marcus, Jae’Vieon, Ta’Meriah and A’Niyahla; nieces, La’Quacy and DaMaria; nephews, Jarvin, Marvin, David, Deshun, Damarion;a host of step grandchildren, great nieces and nephews; special sister in law, Lyntoria; special cousin, Yolanda; special aunt, Dot; as well as friends, Derlene and Dae’Tavious.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Lee Ward; stepfather, Emmanuel Pope Jr; nephew, Prinis Battle; as well as a great grandson, A3.
A Time of Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Friday, October 23, 2020 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, FL 33916.
