Veril Cameron, a resident of Lehigh Acres, FL, for more than 15 years, passed away Thursday March 5, 2026, in Fort Myers, Fl. He was born on July 17, 1940, in Jamaica to parents Osley Cameron and Anita Black, now deceased.
Veril was of the Christian faith. Formerly of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Veril set roots in Lehigh Acres in 2008. Cameron, affectionately known as “Camo,” lived a quiet and simple life. He loved animals and had a deep appreciation for farming and the peace of country living. A true homebody, he was most content at home with his beloved wife. Camo was always seen with a gentle smile. Though he was a man of few words, his presence spoke volumes.
Veril is survived by his beloved wife, Eula Cameron; His two children, Ann James of GA, Clifton Cameron of Jamaica; His brother Ramsey Cameron of Bronx, NY; His five grandchildren, T’kaya Cameron, Clifton Junior Cameron, Cliffane Cameron, Khalisse Cameron, as well as Dontae Cameron. He was dearly loved by his three stepchildren, Denise, Carla, and Jason, and cherished by his step-grandchildren: Ricky, Tiana, Tally, Le’Lani, Tristan, and Thaddeus.
Inurnment to be held at a later date.
