Wendy Murphy Haines

With deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Wendy Murphy Haines, beloved mother, wife, and cherished friend, who left us on October 16, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Sunbury, PA, Wendy lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and compassion, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Wendy's journey in life began with an associate degree, leading her to find her calling as a talented hair stylist in the cosmetology industry. Her artistry and skill not only transformed her clients' appearances but also uplifted their spirits, leaving a lasting impact in her community.

An avid horseback rider, Wendy embraced the freedom and joy of the outdoors. She treasured moments spent riding and caring for animals, creating cherished memories that reflected her love for nature and adventure. But more than anything, Wendy was a devoted family woman. She found immeasurable joy in spending time with her grandchildren, always eager to share stories, laughter, and love.

Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Haines; her daughter, Michell Vazquez (Bobbi), and son, Michael "Mike" Murphy (Jeannine); her two sisters, Sharon Klinger and Thelma Wagner; and her beautiful grandchildren, Bailey Ruiz, Dr. Jade Murphy (Christian) Blake Hawkins, and William Hawkins. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Penelope Diaz and baby Ronan Atlas Ruiz, who is on the way, leaving a legacy that will continue to grow.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Murphy, her first husband, John William Murphy, and her beloved parents, Joseph and Ruth Scott, whose love will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of her family.

Wendy will be remembered not only for her vibrant spirit and gentle heart but also for the laughter and love she brought into the lives of those around her. A celebration of her life will take place in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor her remarkable journey.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation in her honor on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until Services begin at 4:00 p.m. at Mullins and Curtis Fort Myers Location. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched, as we celebrate a life beautifully lived and well-loved.

Rest in peace, dear Wendy. Your spirit will soar on the wings of the horses you loved, and your laughter will echo in the hearts you cherished.
