William Lloyd Begg, 77, of Babcock Ranch, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026. Born on June 11, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, William lived a life defined by adventure, devotion to family, and a love of the sea.

William was preceded in death by his father, William J. Begg; his mother, Althea O. Heinly; and brother, Michael Markham.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tania M.J. Begg; sons, Remington Begg and wife Rachel, Ashton Begg and wife Sarah; and daughter, Sierra Begg. He is also survived by sons, Aaron Williamson and Michael Williamson from Canada. He was a proud grandfather to four grandsons and two granddaughters, with one more granddaughter joyfully expected in the months ahead. His family was the center of his world and his greatest accomplishment.

William had a deep passion for sailing, target shooting, photography, and, above all, spending time with his family. In one of the great adventures of his life, he took his family on a remarkable voyage aboard the S.V. Brittany, sailing from Bermuda through the Caribbean before ultimately settling in Cape Coral, Florida in 1997 - a journey that reflected his adventurous spirit and his desire to give his family a life rich with experience, courage, and togetherness.

Those who knew William will remember his strength, determination, and unwavering love for those closest to him. He embraced life fully and created lasting memories that will be cherished by his family for generations.

There will be no formal service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you send a written note or share a memory in honor of William. Your stories and reflections will serve as a lasting tribute to the life he lived and the love he shared.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
